Lucille Schauer unites training in gardening with years of getting dirt under her fingernails. As a certified South Carolina Master Gardener, Schauer is passionate about helping life flourish in her garden and in her community.

A small, personally tended farm, Blooms for Life operates in Marlboro County, South Carolina. They are committed to sustainable farming-practices, free from pesticides and herbicides. Healthy soil grows hearty plants.

Blooms for Life is a family endeavor. Through the business, Lucille teaches her young children about growing plants and growing a business. The enterprise offers valuable lessons, from how to run a business without breaking the bank, to the importance of hard work and breaking a sweat.

Plants thrive when they are part of a robust ecosystem, and we know businesses play a role in supporting a healthy community. Blooms for Life is committed to cultivating a flourishing community by donating 25% of all profits to local charities.

In fact, this is how they came up with their name, Blooms for Life. They support local nonprofits that value, protect, and nourish the gift of life.
